We gave this place a try:

Keyani’s Bungalow

Guest House
Lovina

Peaceful and clean place with a swimming pool

Keyani’s Bungalow is a guesthouse situated in Kalibukbuk, one of the villages of Lovina. It is away from the large Jalan Rayan Lovina-Singaraja. The area is calm and authentic (it mainly consists of homes and a few other guesthouses) and only 20 metres away you will find the excellent restaurant Buda Bakery.

During our stay and according to the current exchange rate, they offered the following types of rooms: standard double room for €24.5 (IDR 420,000) per night, a bungalow up to 3 persons for €36.7 (IDR 630,000), a family bungalow up to 4 persons for €48.9 (IDR 840,000).

A very charming and devoted Balinese family owns the guesthouse. The place has an outdoor, refreshing swimming pool with deckchairs, a tropical garden and very high speed WIFI. It is also possible to enjoy a panel of wellness cares (massage, manicure and so on).

The rooms are situated in the individual or shared bungalows and it is possible to add an extra bed.

Our 25 m² room was decorated with bamboo furniture (like it or not): double bed, wardrobe, living corner and desk with TV. The room also had the air conditioning, a fridge, and a drying rack on the terrace.

The private bathroom was inside the room and was rather old-fashioned with a sink that was fairly low. It offered towels and two soaps, however no shampoo. The shower had hot water but not sufficiently for two successive hot showers. If you are two persons, anticipate that you will have to wait in between two showers.

The breakfast

Breakfast, which is included in the price, is served on the facility’s common terrace, in front of the swimming pool. It consists of a hot drink (coffee or tea) and a dish composed of toasted slices of bread, butter and jam, an egg or an omelette, few slices of fruits and a fruit juice (rather artificial but not bad). Breakfast is relatively copious, but maybe not original enough.

What night did we spend?

We slept well in this guesthouse, even though the background noise of the animals did wake us up, as very frequent in Bali!

We particularly liked the serenity of the place, the swimming pool, the very good maintenance of the whole facility (rooms, garden) and the efficient WIFI. The bathroom would benefit from refurbishment and modernisation.
