Sindu Guest House

Guest House
Sanur

Clean and very well equipped room!

Sindu Guest House is situated in the north of Sanur, in a small street that is perpendicular to the famous Jalan By Pass Ngurah Rai, which crosses the city. It is only a short 5 minutes walk from the beach (nearly 400 metres) and around 1.4 km away from the pier where some boats heading to Nusa Lembongan or Lombok are leaving from.

You will find many restaurants nearby and the beach is rather pleasant. It goes from a touristic atmosphere to a more local ambiance, as you get closer to the pier.

It is a rather small guesthouse with 5 rooms.

During our stay and according to the current exchange rate, they offered standard double rooms for €17.4 (IDR 300,000) per night and deluxe double rooms for €20.4 (IDR 350,000). There is also a special discount for people travelling alone.

Useful note: the staff does not live on the premises, but is however present for breakfast from 7:30 a.m. It is then necessary to make sure they are aware of your arrival and departure times, otherwise you might face some issues!

The whole guesthouse is fairly cosy, especially the area with a terrace where the breakfast is served (facing the rooms).

Our booking was for a standard double room. It should have been in the middle of the facility and without any private terrace. But we had the chance to get an upgrade (thanks to the staff!), because WIFI was not working.

Our room was lovely and well equipped: a double bed with net fabric over it, a fridge, a ceiling fan and the air conditioning, a TV, mosquito repellent, a kettle with tea and coffee at disposal. The private bathroom is inside the room and offers a shower with hot water and two soaps, soft and fluffy towels and a curtain separating the toilet from the shower. Please note that it is not possible to add an extra bed into the room.

Another deluxe double room, which was not occupied, was remaining open and we took advantage of this opportunity to take some extra photos.

You will also find a self-service drinkable water fountain: excellent idea!

Breakfast, included in the price of the night, is served from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. During our stay, it consisted of a fruit salad and a dish (eggs from a selection, pancake, fruit salad with yoghurt or Mie Goreng with an egg on top). It is such a delight to get the option for an Indonesian breakfast (it is rather rare in Bali) as it was tasty and copious!

What night did we spend?

We slept well in this guesthouse. The bedding is good and the noise coming from the street is fairly limited.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay here: the room was really well equipped and clean, and the bedding was comfortable, not to mention the extra soft towels! Moreover, breakfast was good and copious. We also liked the location, relatively close to the pier, from where we left to reach Nusa Lembongan. Finally, we also appreciated the free access to the water fountain.
In short: nearly a flawless performance! The only downside: WIFI was failing, but the problem was about to be solved.
