He will pick you up at your accommodation at 9:30 with a comfortable and air-conditioned vehicle to drive you along the different steps of your day trip (each are distant from each other by a 15 minutes drive). You can count on his soft driving and his perfect knowledge of the area to drive you along roads passing by beautiful landscapes.
You will start your half-day tour with the Brahma Vihara Arama Buddhist monastery, the biggest in Bali. You will then have the chance to relax at the Banjar holy springs, very appreciated by both the Balinese and travellers.
You will be back at your accommodation late in the morning or early in the afternoon depending on its location, the traffic conditions, the time spent on each step of the tour and lunch during the tour if you want it.
(Indonesian way to say Hello)
“My name is Gede and I'll be
your driver on this tour.”
Gede lives in his native village in Northern Bali. He spent several years working on American ferries discovering numerous different landscapes and cultures despite an exhausting work environment.
Yearning to be closer to his loved-ones, he returned to live in Bali with an idea in mind: to help others discover the beauty and authenticity of his region, while improving his family’s daily quality of life.
Polite and enthusiastic, Gede will make your day an unforgettable one.
Vehicle and on-board services: Toyota Avanza or Innova with air conditioning, fresh water bottles, fresh towels and sarongs for the visits.
Brahma Vihara Arama Monastery
A mini Javanese Borobudur in Bali!
This Buddhist monastery, the biggest in Bali, was erected in 1970 and monks are still residing there. It is built on a hill and surrounded by sumptuous gardens.
You will follow the stairs to visit the different levels and end up reaching the last temple, which architecture is widely inspired from the design of the famous Borobudur on the neighbouring island of Java. It is worth the effort as you will be rewarded by the beauty of the place, the serenity surrounding it and the magnificent sight it offers overlooking the Bali sea.
Recommended visit duration: 45 minutes.
Banjar Hot Springs
Hot and sulphurous waters.
These holy springs are formed by three ponds of distinct depths, nestled in the middle of a lush garden. They allow everyone to enjoy its naturally hot and slightly sulphurous water (giving it its greenish colour).
You will undoubtedly enjoy this site frequented by both the Balinese and travellers and where everything is already planned for you to have a nice time: outside showers, changing rooms, toilets, lockers and restaurant.
Recommended visit duration: 90 minutes.
