Good Warung on Sanur’s most touristic street

As of December 9, 2022, Warung Kwek Kwek unfortunately seems to be permanently closed following the Covid. Among the establishments tested in Sanur and still open, you will find in particular Warung Kecil and Warung Pantai Indah.

Babi Kecap

Warung Kwek Kwek is situated in the large Jalan Danau Tamblingan (at the number 72), which is one of the main touristic areas of Sanur. It offers around 10 tables.

The staff is Indonesian and this Warung offers Balinese, Indonesian and occidental cuisines (the menu is in English). The employees are rather pleasant and speak English, the owner included as he came to have a little chat with us for a few minutes.

What did we try out for you?

Avocado shrimps salad, IDR 25,000 (€1.5): we expected a salad made solely of avocado and shrimps, but it also had lettuce, cucumbers and carrots. Slightly frustrating as we had a special fancy to eat avocado, but it was good and copious!

Satay Mix, IDR 55,000 (€3.3): 9 large chicken, pork and fish skewers, served on fired clay stove, with a fair amount of peanut sauce and plain rice. Very copious and absolutely delicious!

Babi Kecap, IDR 44,000 (€2.6): pork marinated in a slightly sweet and spicy sauce with onions. Delicious and copious as well.
